Reports reaching Sierraloaded have it that the headquarters of Sierra Leone’s Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) in freetown has been raved by fire.
This much was revealed by a Sierraloaded user where he was asking appropriate bodies to wade into the issue and put out the inferno.
The Sierraloadite, who was a witness of the incident said the fire started around 11am today, Saturday January 16th on the third floor of the building.
This will be the second time the nation’s power building would be gutted by fire in three weeks.
With all indications, the current propose a potential threat to the electricity supply in the country. Yet the causes of these persistent outbreaks of fire remains unknown.
“The third floor is supposed to host the severs for the prepaid meters.”, Sierraloaded’s David Kargbo confirmed.
The persistent occurrence of fire incidents in Sierra Leone is becoming troubling and a serious threat to the capital of Freetown as there are no better equipments for fire fighting in the country.
As at the time of filing this report, it was not clear whether fire fighters had gotten to the scene of the inferno to put it out or put it under control.
