Sierra Leone’s opposition candidate Julius Maada Bio leads in the presidential poll. With 75% of the result in so far, he’s on 43.3% followed by ruling party candidate Dr Samura Kamara who has 42.6%.
14,919 votes separate the two. Dr Kandeh Yumkella has 6.7% and Samual Sam-Sumana has 3.4%. A runoff is looking inevitable with the unlikelihood of any candidate securing 55%.
